001. What are tooth gems?

A tooth gem is a small gem specially designed to bond firmly to the surface of the tooth. It is tiny and elegant it will enhance your smile without risk if damage or allergies.

002. How much do they cost?
Tooth gems are $45 per gem

003. How are tooth gems attached?

The gem is glued with a dental composite glue and the bonding procedure is similar to bonding an orthodontic bracket, which leaves the tooth intact and allows an easy removal. The adhesive is applied to the tooth, the gem set in place and light cured for 60 seconds to harden the composite. The wearer may feel the gem during the first few days of attachment. However, he or she will quickly get used to the presence of the gem. They are small and flat, designed to be barley felt..

004. Does it hurt?
Not at all, it is done fairly quickly and is pain free!

005. How long does it take?
No more than 5 minutes per gem!

006. Will it damage my tooth?

No. The gem is bonded to the surface of the enamel like an orthodontic bracket. No drilling or damage tot the tooth is done.

007. Will the gem impede dental hygiene?

No, the presence of the gem will encourage brushing, since it brings more attention to the smile. You will also chew and have your teeth professionally cleaned as usual. The area underneath the Twinkles is sealed and will not be open for any bacteria...

008. How long will it last?
Anywhere from 6 months up to 24 months--please note that we do not guarantee this.

009. What bonding agent do you use?
we use dental grade professional products.

010. Who is a candidate for this procedure?

Anyone can get this procedure done as long as they do not have existing cavities or oral hygiene issues. There are many different designs which appeal to everyone.

011. How old do I have to be to get a tooth gem?

Children under the age of 18 should have parental consent.

012. How do I remove the tooth gem?

Our tooth jewelry is 100% reversible. The process is the same as attaching an orthodontic bracket (braces).  Therefore, a dental professional must remove the tooth gem.  The tooth will be buffed and polished to remove any remaining bonding material.

013. What if i swallow it?

Our gems have no sharp edges. It will come out “the natural way" causing no problems to your intestines.
